Durene McCarty honored with 2024 Patricia Brooks Award

NORRISTOWN - Congratulations to Durene McCarty, Bristol Office Manager, who was honored with a Patricia "Pat" L. Brooks Award at LASP’s Staff Retreat June 28, 2024 at Elmwood Park Zoo.

Prior to the retreat, all staff were invited to nominate colleagues for recognition.

In announcing the award, Phillip Hammond, Director of Operations, read from a nomination: “This person embodies the true meaning of what this award is all about. She's the face of this office and for individuals calling and walking into the office. She is the first person they're going to see. She treats every everyone with utmost respect, welcoming and evaluating the legal problem and either opening a file for them or referring them to another organization. She always remains calm. ... She plays a central role in making sure we are meeting compliance demands and makes the office a fun place to be. ... She is always such a positive light going above and beyond the job description on so many levels."

The Patricia "Pat" L. Brooks Award recognizes a LASP support staff member who:

• Exemplifies hard work, selflessness, teamwork and proficiency at his or her job;

• Embodies the highest standards of professionalism and a “client-centered” approach;

• Actively goes “above and beyond” that normally required of a LASP staff member; and;

• Has consistently embraced, supported, and furthered the mission of LASP.
