How to get legal help

To apply for legal services, call the Helpline at 877-429-5994, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Or apply online 24/7.
LASP’s offices are closed to the public, but phones are being answered during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Walk-in intake is currently cancelled at all locations.
If you are a current client with a question about your case, please email or call your attorney.
Some of the case types we handle are:
Bankruptcy, consumer law and debt relief
Child custody and dependency
Disaster legal aid (including Hurricane Ida)
Domestic violence and Protection from Abuse
Elder law
Expungements, record-sealing (Clean Slate), and pardons
Family law
Housing
Landlord-Tenant (eviction, habitability, public or subsidized housing, rent-to-own)
Mortgage foreclosure, property tax sales, reverse mortgages, tangled title
Public Benefits, including Unemployment Compensation, SSI, SSDI, TANF (cash assistance), SNAP (food stamps), Medical Assistance (Medicaid), and more
Utilities, including LIHEAP (home heating and energy assistance)
Veterans Advocacy Project (Veterans Advocacy Helpline: 610-283-0884 provides trauma-informed legal help with military discharge upgrades, VA benefits, and the above civil legal matters)
While most of these kinds of cases are handled in all locations, there are some differences between counties in the services provided.
LASP offers legal information and advice, drafting of legal documents, and negotiation and representation in administrative and judicial proceedings.
For legal help from Legal Aid of Southeastern PA:
Call the LASP toll-free Helpline at 877-429-5994, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. You will speak to a trained paralegal or attorney. Se habla espanol.
