Nanci Hoover, Helpline Supervising Attorney, retires after 26+ of service

Congratulations on your retirement, Nanci Hoover, and for 26+ years of service to Legal Aid of Southeastern PA.
NORRISTOWN - Huge retirement congratulations to Helpline Supervising Attorney Nanci Hoover! She retired on Jan. 15, 2025 and returned on Jan. 17 for a farewell celebration lunch. Shawn Boehringer, LASP Executive Director; Michelle R. Terry, Chester City Managing Attorney; and Venezla Moses, Helpline Paralegal, shared recollections and thanks.
Nanci led LASP's centralized Helpline, starting a few months after LASP's founding in 2001, soon after the merger of Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery county legal organizations into Legal Aid of Southeastern PA. The Helpline is based in the Norristown Office and serves all four counties.
Prior to 2001, Nanci had served at Delaware County Legal Assistance Association (DCLAA). She also launched LASP's online intake in 2018. Altogether, she dedicated 26+ years of her career to serving LASP's clients, mentoring her Helpline team and other LASP staff, and developing exceptional expertise in LASP's case management systems.
Nanci and the Helpline received a Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network (PLAN) Excellence Award in 2017. In June 2024, LASP honored her with the Maryjane B. Kelley Award.
Nanci's dedication and expertise will be greatly missed by LASP. Best wishes in your retirement, Nanci!
