LASP named a Community Hero by Phillies Charities
(April 28, 2022)
PHILADELPHIA - LASP is honored to be a Phillies Charities $20,000 grant recipient and Community Hero!
At the April 27, 2022 Phillies game, LASP and other nonprofit grant recipients were announced before the start of the game vs. the Colorado Rockies. Below are some scenes from the evening, which culminated in a windswept 7-3 Phillies win. Thank you, Phillies Charities, and Go, Phils! It was a great night at the ballpark.
Phillies Charities announced the grant Nov. 22, 2021 to celebrate the start of the team’s season of giving. Legal Aid of Southeastern PA is among 30 nonprofits to receive the honor. The grants to 30 area nonprofits were provided in part from the support of fans who participated in the team’s auctions, raffles and memorabilia events held this past season.
“These remarkable organizations continuously step up to the plate to be there for those who need it most,” said Phillies Charities, Inc. President John Weber. “Thanks to our fans, we are able to help ensure that the much-needed services of our community heroes can continue to make a difference all year long.”
