Who we can help at the FREE clinic:
Parents only (no grandparents or extended family members) with a custody case in Montgomery County.
If you already have a custody order, then it must be a Montgomery County custody case. Assistance will be available only for Montgomery County cases. Parents should provide a copy of the most recent custody order.
If you do not have a custody order, then:
Child must have lived in Montgomery County for 6 months; or
A parent of the child must live in Montgomery County; or
Already have a custody case in Montgomery County.
All parents must meet financial eligibility for Legal Aid of Southeastern PA. Once parents register, a link will be emailed with needed documents. Fill out the requested information. Once the paperwork is completed, we will determine if a parent qualifies for the clinic.

After registration, a link will be e-mailed with forms to complete.
Fill out the needed information and a legal aid advocate will contact you with the next steps.
Note: The clinic is limited to 25 participants.
What to expect
Parents will meet with an attorney in a private Zoom breakout room for 20 minutes.
You will receive brief legal advice regarding custody.
After the clinic, a LASP advocate will follow up with you. Participants will receive documents and directions on how to file with the court on their own.
