Funding & Support

LASP is funded with a combination of public and private grants and donations. This includes federal funding from the Legal Services Corporation, state money from the PA Department of Human Services, grants from the Interest on Lawyers Trust Account program, monies from three United Way organizations, contributions from private attorneys and bar associations in all four counties, contracts with area agencies on aging and money from private foundations in the region.

In addition, Pro Bono programs operating in all four counties are avenues through which private attorneys willing to donate their time advise and represent low-income clients, victims of domestic abuse and the elderly. For more information on volunteering with LASP:

2016-17 Donor Honor Roll

Your financial support helps provide free civil legal services in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties!

Every year, LASP relies on the steadfast support of individuals, law firms, bar associations, bar foundations, government grants & contracts, charitable foundations & trusts, collaborative grants, businesses, corporations, service groups, congregations & more.

In fiscal year 2016-17 (July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017), these contributions made it possible to serve 8,293 people in need of help, benefiting 17,746 clients and families.

In addition, LASP benefited from cy pres donations thanks to Cary L. Flitter of Flitter Milz, PC and the Schaub v. Iron Hill Qualified Settlement Fund. We very much appreciate this support.

Our Donor Honor Roll recognizes individuals & law firms who contributed $1,000 or more to LASP during FY2016-17. For a full list of all our generous donors & pro bono volunteers, please see our 2016-17 Annual Report at AND our Annual Report Supplement at Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania is very grateful for all contributions supporting our work.
